Have you ever wanted to try ARCHERY but didn’t know where to go !!!

Well now you do.... we hold Archery Beginners Courses throughout the year

We will be holding an Open Night on
Tuesday 26th August
Starting at 7.30pm and finishing around 9pm.

The Open Night is to give everyone and anyone the opportunity to come along and try the sport without any obligation, you simply pay a fee of £3.50 per person and we teach you how to shoot. At the end of the night you can walk away happy and never try again or sign up for the six week beginners course. This course will take place at our indoor range. See Here

Kids Shooting Have-a-Go lession

Beginners Course

This will start on Tuesday 2nd September and run every Tuesday evening for six weeks.
With the help of GNAS qualified Coaches you will be shown how to shoot correctly.
The course will cover the following subjects:

    SAFETY:                 Your safety and safety of all around you.
    EQUIPMENT:         Types of different bows, arrows and other accessories.
    SHOOTING:             How to shoot the bow and different styles of shooting.
    IMPROVEMENT:   How to aim with the bow and hit the target.
    TARGETS:               Both to shoot at and targets for you to achieve.

On the last week you are given an assessment on your abilities and presented with a Safety in Archery Certificate, which is proof of your ability to be able to join an archery club if so desired.

  • The cost of the 6 week Beginners course is
    £35 for Adults and £25 for Juniors (Under18)
  • The fee is payable on the first night and covers the use of all the equipment you’ll need and will also cover Insurance.
  • The minimum age for the course is 12 years old.
  • Any Child (under 18) attending the course MUST be accompanied by an adult.
  • You must pre-book a place on the course as places are limited, either at the Open Night or
    by E-mail also by calling Hugh Irvine on 07710 941859
  • The course will only run for six weeks and anyone wishing to shoot after this period must become a member of the club.
